The Indian Premier League (IPL) has experienced significant financial growth in the past year, according to a report by global investment bank Houlihan Lokey.

The report indicates that the IPL's business value has surged by 6.5% to US$16.4 billion, reflecting the league's continued strength and global appeal.

The stand-alone brand value of the IPL has also increased by 6.3% to US$3.4 billion, showcasing the league's ability to attract esteemed brands seeking to enhance their value.

In terms of individual franchise valuations, Chennai Super Kings emerged as the most valued franchise, despite failing to reach the playoffs in 2024.

CSK's brand value stands at US$231.0 million, representing a 9% growth from the previous year.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) is ranked second in both brand and business value, with a brand worth of US$227.0 million.

The IPL 2024 winners, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), saw the highest growth in brand value, with a 19.30% rise from 2023, securing the third position with a brand value of US$216.0 million.

Mumbai Indians (MI), despite being a popular and successful team, is ranked fourth with a brand value of US$204.0 million.

The report highlights the growing popularity and financial strength of the IPL, solidifying its position as a major player in the world of cricket.
