Deadly Fire at Food Plant: Three Killed, Six Critically Injured

A tragic fire erupted at a food processing unit in Delhi's Narela Industrial area, resulting in the heartbreaking loss of three lives and leaving six others critically injured.

The inferno, which began in the early hours of Sunday, engulfed a Moong Dal factory, fueled by a gas leak and compressor blast. Preliminary investigations point to the gas leak as the initial trigger.

Firefighters bravely battled the blaze with 16 fire tenders, while police officers rescued nine individuals from the inferno. Sadly, three of the rescued workers succumbed to their injuries at the hospital, identified as Beerpal, Shyam, and Ram.

The remaining six injured workers are receiving medical attention at Safdarjung and other hospitals. The owner of the food factory, Ankit Gupta and Vinay Gupta, are facing legal charges, and an investigation is underway.

This tragic incident underscores the importance of adhering to safety protocols and maintaining proper maintenance in industrial facilities to prevent such devastating events.
