AAP's Somnath Bharti Defies Exit Polls, Predicts AAP Victory in Delhi
  • Exit polls predict BJP victory, but AAP's Bharti disagrees.
  • Bharti claims AAP alliance will sweep Delhi, despite exit polls.
  • He threatens to shave his head if Modi becomes PM again.

AAP's Somnath Bharti, the INDIA alliance candidate for the New Delhi Lok Sabha seat, strongly disagrees with exit polls predicting a clear victory for the BJP and the NDA. Bharti insists that all exit polls will be proven wrong on Tuesday when the votes are counted. He has even gone so far as to say that he will shave his head if Narendra Modi becomes the Prime Minister for the third time.

Bharti's confidence stems from his belief that the INDIA alliance, which includes the AAP and the Congress, will sweep Delhi this time and win all seven constituencies. He urges people to wait for the counting to happen, claiming that the fear of Mr Modi does not allow exit polls to show him losing.

Bharti's defiance of the exit polls is echoed by many opposition leaders, who argue that exit polls are often wrong. Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi said the INDIA alliance's analysis puts it at 295 seats, 23 higher than the majority mark of 272. Only time will tell whether Bharti's prediction will come true or if the exit polls will be accurate in forecasting a BJP victory.
