The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has announced the results for the Uchcha Madhyamik (Class 12) examination. The results were announced at a press conference at 1 pm on May 8, 2024, and the scorecard link will be activated at 3 pm at wbchse.wb.gov.in or wbresults.nic.in.
Students can also check their results at education.indianexpress.com. They need to keep their roll card/ registration number handy to access the results.
The pass percentage for the 2023 exam was 90.11%, with boys outperforming girls. Subhrangsu Sardar from Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya in South 24 Parganas district topped the exam with 496 marks out of 500.
WBCHSE has announced the implementation of a semester system for class 11 from the current academic session (2024-25) and for class 12 from the 2025-26 academic session in all state-run and state-aided schools. Board exams will be conducted after completing semesters 3 and 4.
The Board has also suggested the introduction of a warm-up course for Class 10 students interested in pursuing the new Applied Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security subjects in the higher secondary curriculum.
