PM Modi serves food at Sikh Shrine, cooks in Langar

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday served food to devotees at the historic Harimandir Ji, Patna Sahib Gurdwara in Patna, Bihar. A viral video shows PM Modi serving food from a steel bucket to Sikh devotees, who expressed their gratitude towards the Prime Minister.

PM Modi also helped the Gurdwara management cook food for the langar, which is a community kitchen that serves free meals to all visitors regardless of their religion or background.

History of Patna Sahib Gurdwara

Takhat Sri Patna Sahib, also known as Takhat Sri Harimandir Ji, Patna Sahib, is one of the five takhats of the Sikhs. The Gurudwara was commissioned by Maharaja Ranjit Singh in the 18th century to celebrate the birthplace of Guru Gobind Singh.
