Modi Predicts Congress' Lok Sabha Demise, NDA's Triumph
  • Congress will not win 50 seats in Lok Sabha polls.
  • NDA set to cross 400 seats in Lok Sabha.
  • PM Modi slams Congress for terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a Lok Sabha election rally in Phubani, Odisha on Saturday, where he confidently predicted that the Congress party would fail to win even 50 seats and would not qualify for opposition party status after the polls.

Addressing an election rally in Phulbani in Kandhamal Lok Sabha seat in Odisha, PM Modi exuded confidence that a 'double engine' government will be formed in the state and 'a son or daughter of the soil who understands Odia language and culture' will be made the chief minister of the BJP government.'

PM Modi asserted that India has made up their mind that the NDA will cross 400 in the Lok Sabha elections.

He further attacked the Congress party, accusing them of being responsible for the terrorism that plagued Jammu and Kashmir for 60 years.

Modi highlighted the Congress party's alleged meetings with terrorist organizations and their failure to investigate the 26/11 attacks due to fear of losing their vote bank.

Odisha will hold Assembly elections and Lok Sabha elections in four phases from May 1.

The Lok Sabha election to elect 21 members of Parliament from Odisha will take place on May 13, May 20, May 25, and June 1.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) won 12 seats, the BJP finished a close second at 8, and the Congress bagged just a lone seat.
