A DJ employed at a club in Jharkhand's capital Ranchi was shot dead from point blank range by a man carrying what appears to be a sophisticated rifle.
The incident took place in the early hours of Monday and no arrest has been made so far.
A video with a timestamp of 1.18 am on Monday shows a bare bodied man, using a T-shirt to cover his face, walk up to the DJ and point the rifle at him.
The DJ, identified by the police by only his first name, Sandeep, was rushed to the hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.
The motive behind the shooting is not yet known and the police are investigating the matter.
