The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) announced the Maharashtra HSC 12th Result 2024 on May 21, 2024. The overall passing percentage this year stands at 91.87%, witnessing an increase of 2.12% as compared to 2023. The results were declared for all the streams including Science, Arts, Commerce, Vocational, ITI and Private candidates. Out of 15,13,909 registered candidates, 13,87,135 have passed the examination.
The passing percentage saw an increase in all the streams this year. Science stream continues to have the highest passing percentage at 97.82%, followed by Commerce with 92.18% and Arts with 85.88%. Among the districts, Konkan division has the highest passing percentage of 97.51%, while Mumbai division has the lowest passing percentage of 91.95%. A total of 26 subjects have recorded a 100% passing result this year.
Girls have consistently outperformed boys in the Maharashtra HSC exam. This year, 95.44% of girls passed the exam compared to 91.60% of boys. The passing percentage for physically challenged students this year is 94%. Candidates securing the minimum required marks of 33% in each subject and in aggregate have been declared as pass.
The Maharashtra HSC results are crucial as they determine the students' eligibility for higher education and career opportunities. Students who have not been satisfied with the result can apply for revaluation or supplementary exams.
