Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) emerged victorious in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 after defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by an emphatic eight-wicket margin.
Chasing a meager 113, KKR rode on the heroics of Venkatesh Iyer and Rahmanullah Gurbaz, who stitched a 91-run partnership to seal the triumph.
Earlier, KKR displayed a bowling masterclass, with Mitchell Starc, Vaibhav Arora, and Harshit Rana sharing five wickets among them to restrict SRH to their lowest-ever IPL total in a final.
KKR's triumph marked their third IPL title, adding to their victories in 2012 and 2014.
