Kejriwal's Election Appeal: Save Me from Jail
  • Arvind Kejriwal appeals to voters to save him from jail.
  • Kejriwal alleges BJP arrested him for serving Delhi people.
  • Kejriwal highlights his work in education and healthcare.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal held an election rally in the city's Moti Nagar area on Sunday and urged people to vote for his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the Lok Sabha polls to save him from going back to Tihar jail.

Kejriwal, who is out on interim bail in the liquor policy case, said during a roadshow, "I have to return to jail after 20 days. If you choose the AAP symbol, I won't have to go back to prison."

Hitting out at the BJP, the AAP chief alleged that he was arrested because he worked for the people of Delhi.

Kejriwal said, "My fault is that I built schools for Delhi-NCR. I arranged facilities for free medicine for people but when I was in jail, for 15 days they did not give me diabetes medicine. I was not given insulin for 15 days inside jail."

Kejriwal's appeal comes as the AAP is facing a tough challenge from the BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The AAP is hoping to win a significant number of seats in the national elections to strengthen its position in the national political landscape.
