The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) released the results for the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) and Indian School Certificate (ISC) examinations for the year 2024. The results showcased an impressive performance by students across the country and abroad.
In Karnataka, students demonstrated remarkable results, with a pass percentage of 99.83% in ICSE (class 10) exams and 99.49% in ISC (class 12) exams. This achievement surpasses the overall pass percentages for both ICSE and ISC exams at the national level, which stand at 99.47% and 98.19%, respectively.
Girls emerged as the top performers in both ICSE and ISC exams in Karnataka, with pass rates of 99.93% and 99.76%, respectively. This trend was consistent with the national results, where girls outperformed boys in both examinations.
The state of Maharashtra also achieved notable success in the ICSE and ISC exams. Maharashtra had the highest number of participating schools for ICSE exams, and students from the state secured impressive results, contributing to the overall strong performance in ICSE class 10.
In the ISC class 12 exams, the southern region of India emerged as the top performer, with several states achieving 100% pass rates. This highlights the consistent academic excellence in the southern states of India.
The CISCE also introduced re-evaluation and Improvement Exams to provide students with opportunities to improve their performance. Additionally, the Chemistry and Psychology papers were rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances.
Overall, the ICSE and ISC results for 2024 reflect the dedication and hard work of students, teachers, and the entire education system. The high pass percentages and impressive performance by students across the country are a testament to the quality of education provided by CISCE-affiliated schools.
