During the rally, Ranaut mistakenly targeted Tejasvi Surya, a fellow BJP member and Lok Sabha candidate from Bengaluru South, mistaking him for Tejashwi Yadav, the leader of the opposition Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) in Bihar. Ranaut's remarks, which were intended to criticize the 'party of spoiled princes,' inadvertently included Surya, who had recently been involved in a controversy over a video depicting him eating fish.
The intended target of Ranaut's criticism was actually Tejashwi Yadav, whose consumption of fish had become a contentious issue between the BJP and the opposition. However, Ranaut's inaccurate identification of Surya as Tejashwi Yadav led to an awkward situation and highlighted the complexities of the upcoming Mandi Lok Sabha elections.
In addition to this blunder, Ranaut has also been vocal in her criticism of the Congress party, particularly Rahul Gandhi and Vikramaditya Singh, the son of former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh. Ranaut has labeled Gandhi and Singh as 'Bada Pappu' and 'Chhota Pappu,' respectively, mocking their political lineage and perceived lack of experience.
