Jihadis from Across Border Backing SP-Congress Alliance: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday alleged that 'jihadis' from across the border are supporting the coalition of the Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Congress, accusing them of appealing for 'vote jihad' in the country.

Addressing an election rally in Uttar Pradesh's Deoria, Modi claimed that some forces are pained by India's progress and have different dreams for the upcoming elections.

He further asserted that prayers are being offered in Pakistan for the SP-Congress alliance and that jihadis from across the border are supporting them.

Modi Accuses Alliance of Appealing for 'Vote Jihad'

Modi went on to accuse the SP and Congress of appealing for 'vote jihad', stating that their issue is not the development of the country but to take India back by several decades.

He also criticized the 'INDI jamaat', which he claimed has been abusing him for his opposition to reservation based on religion and promising to reinstate Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir and repeal the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).

Modi questioned why the 'INDI group' wants to reinstate Article 370 and repeal the CAA, which he said is what anti-India forces also want.

INDI Alliance Opposed to India's Self-Reliance in Defense Sector

The Prime Minister further accused the Congress of creating roadblocks for countries that wanted to purchase BrahMos missiles, emphasizing that the day is not far when BrahMos missiles will be made in Uttar Pradesh.

He stated that there is demand for BrahMos missiles in many countries around the world, but Congress has created obstacles in their way.

Modi alleged that the 'INDI alliance' does not want India to become self-reliant in the defense sector or develop the capability to export weapons, as they want foreign weapon deals to continue for their own benefit.
