  • Election campaign in final phase, PM Modi and opposition leaders holding rallies.
  • Opposition bloc meeting scheduled on June 1 to assess performance and plan strategy.
  • Trinamool Congress unable to attend opposition meeting due to polling.

The 2024 Lok Sabha elections in India are nearing their conclusion, with only one phase remaining. Both the ruling NDA coalition and the opposition INDIA bloc are making a final push for votes.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address a rally in Jharkhand and participate in a roadshow in Kolkata, which was recently affected by Cyclone Remal. Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will hold a joint rally in Varanasi, PM Modi's parliamentary constituency.

The opposition bloc has called for a meeting in New Delhi on June 1 to assess their electoral performance and strategize ahead of the results, which will be announced on June 4. However, the Trinamool Congress party has indicated that it will not be able to attend due to polling in the final phase of the elections.

The upcoming rallies and meetings are expected to be crucial in shaping the outcome of the elections, as both the NDA and the opposition seek to secure a majority in the Lok Sabha, India's lower house of parliament.
