Gujarat Fire: 4 Killed in Blaze at Gaming Zone, Rescue Op On

Four people have been killed in a massive fire that broke out at a gaming zone in Rajkot, Gujarat, on Saturday evening. Multiple fire tenders have been dispatched to the scene, and efforts are ongoing to extinguish the blaze. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

According to PTI, Rajkot Municipal Commissioner Anand Patel said, "Four persons have died. The exact toll will be known only after the rescue operation is completed."

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has instructed the municipal corporation and the administration for immediate rescue and relief operations. He has also directed them to prioritize arrangements for immediate treatment of the injured.

In a separate incident, a fire broke out in the industrial area of Maharashtra's Dombivli on Thursday, resulting in the death of at least ten people and injuries to over 60. The explosion was so powerful that it shattered window panes of houses and damaged cars, roads, and electric poles in the vicinity.

The owner of the chemical factory in Dombivli, Malay Mehta, has been remanded in police custody till May 29. The crime branch's Ulhasnagar unit has taken over the investigation. The police have registered an FIR against the company owners, directors, management staff, and officials for culpable homicide, voluntarily causing hurt, and negligent conduct with respect to combustible matter and explosive substances.
