West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has escalated her attack against Governor CV Ananda Bose over the sexual harassment allegations against him.
Banerjee, who had earlier said that she would not meet Bose at Raj Bhavan, has now alleged that the CCTV footage from the day a temporary Raj Bhavan employee had lodged a written complaint with the police against the governor was edited.
She claimed that she has the entire footage as well as a pen drive with more videos.
Bose has denied the allegations and called them part of an "engineered narrative".
He had also hit out at Banerjee and accused her of practising "dirty politics".
The war of words between Banerjee and Bose is the latest development in a series of incidents that began with the sexual harassment allegations against the governor.
The allegations had surfaced after a temporary Raj Bhavan employee had lodged a written complaint with the police against Bose.
The employee had alleged that Bose had made inappropriate comments and gestures towards her.
Bose had denied the allegations and had said that he was the victim of a "political conspiracy".
The allegations had triggered a political storm in West Bengal, with the opposition parties demanding Bose's resignation.
