Chennai Super Kings (CSK) CEO KS Viswanathan has stated that the franchise respects MS Dhoni's decisions and will await his announcement on his future with the team.
Dhoni, 42, led CSK to four IPL titles but stepped down as captain ahead of the 2023 season. CSK failed to qualify for the playoffs in 2023, leading to speculation about Dhoni's future.
Viswanathan emphasized that Dhoni has always made his own decisions and will do so again when it comes to his future with CSK.
He expressed hope that Dhoni will continue to play for CSK in 2024 but acknowledged that the decision is ultimately up to Dhoni.

Viswanathan also addressed rumors that Fleming might apply for the India men's head coach job. He said that he had spoken to Fleming, who laughed off the suggestion and indicated that he was not interested in the role.
Viswanathan explained that Fleming does not like to be involved in cricket for nine to ten months of the year and prefers to have more time off.
