Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim and four other individuals have been acquitted in a murder case by the Punjab and Haryana High Court.

In 2021, a special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court found Ram Rahim and his accomplices guilty of murdering Dera manager Ranjit Singh, resulting in life imprisonment sentences.

Ram Rahim's counsel announced the acquittal following the High Court hearing, stating that the court had absolved him of charges in the murder case of his former manager, Ranjit Singh.
