Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has made a startling allegation that political opponents are performing black magic against him and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
Shivakumar claims that the ritual, which involves sacrificing animals and is being conducted by 'Aghoris' in Kerala, is aimed at eliminating enemies and destabilizing the Congress government.
The Deputy CM has stated that he has credible information about the yagya, which is called 'Raja Kantaka' and 'Marana Mohana Stambhana' yagyas.
He alleges that 21 red goats, three buffaloes, 21 black sheep, and five pigs are being sacrificed for the ritual.
Shivakumar has refused to name the individuals responsible for the alleged black magic, but has suggested that they are politicians from Karnataka.
He has expressed confidence that the forces he believes in will protect him from any harm caused by the ritual.
Shivakumar's allegations have raised eyebrows, and the media has been urged to investigate the matter.
The Deputy CM has also announced a legislators' meeting in Bengaluru on June 2 to discuss party matters and the upcoming MLC election.
He has stated that 65 aspirants have been shortlisted for the MLC election based on various criteria, and that representation will be given to different regions of Karnataka.
Shivakumar has also mentioned that there is a commitment to give Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's son, Dr Yathindra, an MLC post since he vacated his MLA seat for his father.
