Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, has stated that the BJP does not anticipate falling short of the majority mark in the Lok Sabha elections and therefore does not require a Plan B.
He emphasized the strong support base of 60 crore beneficiaries of various government schemes, who are unwavering in their backing of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Shah expressed confidence that the BJP's Plan A will be successful, as he believes Modi will secure a decisive victory.
When questioned about the BJP's strategy in the event of not reaching the majority mark, Shah reiterated his belief in the success of their primary plan.
He added that Plan B is only necessary when the probability of Plan A's success falls below 60%, which he does not anticipate.
Shah emphasized Modi's unwavering support for reservations for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes.
He refuted the Congress's accusations of a 'North-South divide' and expressed confidence in the BJP emerging as the largest party in several southern states.
Shah highlighted the significance of securing over 400 seats for ensuring political stability and enabling the BJP to implement its agenda, which includes protecting borders, elevating India to the world's third-largest economy, and promoting the welfare of the underprivileged.
The Congress has raised concerns about the BJP's intentions to amend the Constitution by securing more than 400 seats, while the BJP has accused the Congress of planning to eliminate reservation benefits for SCs, STs, and OBCs in favor of the Muslim community.
