Union Home Minister Amit Shah has taken a swipe at the 10 guarantees announced by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal, questioning the party's reach and ability to fulfill such promises.

In an exclusive interview with NDTV, Shah pointed out that AAP is contesting only 22 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, while over 270 seats are required to form the government.

He questioned how AAP can make promises such as waiving power bills across the country when its electoral reach is so limited.

Shah also dismissed the AAP-Congress alliance in Delhi, highlighting the BJP's strong performance in the previous election, where it won over 50% of the votes in every seat.

Regarding the Opposition's allegations that the BJP plans to change the Constitution and remove caste-based reservation, Shah strongly defended the party's record, emphasizing that it has used its majority in Parliament to implement significant reforms, including the abrogation of Article 370, the introduction of a Uniform Civil Code, and the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

He accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of spreading lies and misleading the country, stating that the BJP remains committed to the welfare of all citizens and has implemented numerous schemes to provide essential services and financial assistance to the needy.

Shah expressed confidence that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will continue to lead the BJP and the country beyond 2029, dismissing Kejriwal's claim that Modi will retire next year.

Overall, Shah's interview presents a strong defense of the BJP's record and policies, while criticizing the AAP's electoral strategy and promises as unrealistic and lacking in substance.

The interview also underscores the BJP's confidence in its ability to retain power in the upcoming elections, despite the challenges posed by the Opposition's alliances and allegations.
